"Kalaga" Burmese Embroidered Tapestries
Beautiful Cotton Wall Hanging
Beautiful, handcrafted “Kalaga” embroidered tapestries originated in the Mandalay Court around 150 years ago.
They are created using a variety of beads, sequins and hand stitching, on a cotton background. They look great hung on a wall, with or without a frame. We picked up these pieces on a trip to Myanmar, in November 2006.
