Part of the Lanna Charm philosophy, what we like to think makes us a little different, is that we travel regularly throughout Asia, seeking out new products, materials or craft-techniques that help us to bring something a bit different to the internet. So far these trips have taken me to many remote areas in northern Thailand, as well as Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Malaysia, Singapore, China, Nepal, Tibet, and India. <img src="http://www.lannacharm.com/files/shops/0001/0607/assets/DSCN4320.JPG"/> Nancy <img src="http://www.lannacharm.com/files/shops/0001/0607/assets/DSCN3729.JPG"/> Michael <h3>What makes us different?</h3> Lanna Charm was born mainly through my experience of traveling throughout Asia. During my travels I was struck by the wealth of handmade products available and in particular, by their beauty. Also, I was impressed by the high quality and attention to detail as well. Coming from a place where mass-produced goods are increasingly part of everyday life, I was pretty inspired by the skills of the people who made these beautiful things. I decided to continue traveling throughout Asia, finding products and materials that captured my imagination, not only with a view towards selling the very best of what I found, but also for inspiration to design and make new products, often blending a little Asian-style into something typically Western, and vice-versa. <h3>What makes us special?</h3> The products you see on this website are the results of our work to bring something a little bit different to the internet. You won’t find any mass-produced goods here and most of what I sell is exclusively made by hand and, as I’m fond of saying, absolutely everything we sell has charm. I like to call it Lanna Charm.
